The Women’s A Cappella Association
For seven years, the Women’s A Cappella Association lived out the intended mission of co-founders Lisa Forkish and Evynne Hollens: to lift up womxn and other marginalized folx in the vocal music scene, to build community, and make the a cappella community more inclusive.
WACA hosted seven festivals, celebrating women-identified, queer and BIPOC singers, educators and producers in the field. Lisa served as Executive Director and Education Coordinator until 2019 when WACA closed its doors.
The mission continues to be served through Lisaʻs work in the world.
